Who fabricates commercial exhaust canopies in NSW?+
Triple X designs, fabricates and installs commercial exhaust canopies in-house from our Penrith workshop, servicing Sydney and NSW. We size each canopy to your specific cookline and heat load, build it in commercial stainless with baffle filters, and design around Australian Standard AS 1668 ventilation requirements — including lighting and fire-suppression provisions where required.
Custom fabrication vs flat-pack benches — which should a venue choose?+
Flat-pack benches are built to fixed sizes and a price point, which suits simple back-of-house needs. Custom fabrication is the better choice when the bench has to fit a specific space, integrate sinks, cut-outs or shelving, or take heavy daily service. Our benches are welded and finished to your exact dimensions in 304 or 316 stainless, so they fit first time and typically outlast several flat-pack replacements. If longevity and a precise fit matter, custom pays for itself.
How long does a commercial kitchen fit-out take?+
It depends on scope and site access, but as a guide: a run of custom benches can be fabricated in a couple of weeks, while a full commercial kitchen fit-out is usually a multi-week program covering design, drawing approval, fabrication and installation. Because we design, fabricate and install with one in-house team, we can compress that timeline and commit to a program up front — and we build to hit it, first time.
Do you design as well as fabricate and install?+
Yes. Triple X is a single accountable team across the whole job. Our CAD draftspeople produce 2D and 3D drawings for your approval, our metal craftsmen fabricate everything in our own workshop, and our own installers fit it out on site. Nothing is outsourced, so there is one point of contact and one standard of finish from concept to handover.
What grade of stainless steel do you use?+
We fabricate in commercial-grade 304 stainless for most kitchen and bar work, and marine-grade 316 where extra corrosion resistance is needed — for example in wet, coastal or heavy wash-down environments. Finishes include brushed (#4), mirror-polished and bead-blasted, colour-matched across every fabricated piece.
